　　A Letter Applying for a Bank Loan

　　Dear Sir / Madame,

　　I am a sophomore in the Hebei University of Technology, majoring in computer science. I'm applying to your bank for a loan of 10,000 Yuan.

　　In the previous one and a half years I have been a model student and monitor of my class. However, in recent years, my parents are both laid-off, and, to make matters worse, my mother has suddenly fallen ill and they are not able to support me any more. That is why I am asking for the loan. If my application is approved, all the money will go to my tuition and fees for the coming academic year.

　　I guarantee that I will repay the loan within five years, that is, within two years after my graduation. Please have confidence in me. I would be greatly obliged if my application is granted.
